Our Guiding Principle
CARE (Compassion. Arts. Respite. Empathy.) Corner is a respite ministry of Expose Dementia Inc. that is specifically designed to serve caregivers and their loved ones with dementia. The program, in partnership with Respite for All Foundation, Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral, and the Riverside EpiCenter, allows care partners 4 hours a week of free time for selfcare, to run errands and to address other needs while their loved ones are cared for by our team of trained volunteers. Through arts and activity-based programming, our friends with dementia receive the mental and physical stimulation that have proven to slow the progression of their condition.
The goal is to start the program with 1 day a week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (extendable to additional days with need and support)
Linda Michelle Trainer is the Program Director. C. Nathaniel Brown (Chuck) is the Program Coordinator.
At CARE Corner, we believe aging is a journey to be celebrated. Our programs stimulate mind and body, fostering connection and joy in a welcoming environment.

While nearly 4 in 10 family caregivers want respite services, just 14 percent receive them, according to “Respite Services: A Critical Support for Family Caregivers,” a 2024 report from the AARP Public Policy Institute.
